Katrina Kaif born on July 16th, 1984 in Hong Kong is a dazzling supermodel-turned-bollywood actress.

Katrina Kaif was born to an Indian Kashmiri father and British mother. Katrina Kaif is one of the eight daughters born into her family. She was brought up in Hawaii. During her early teens her parents got separated and soon Katrina Kaif moved to London at age fourteen.

During her childhood, Katrina Kaif has had several dreams. She dreamt of becoming a firewoman and then decided to become a horse rider. Later she was fascinated by astrophysics and decided to become an astronaut. But as destiny willed otherwise, Katrina Kaif at age fourteen ventured into modeling with a jewelry campaign in London. She soon moved to India and began working with renowned photographer Atul Kasbekar.

At the age of nineteen, Katrina Kaif got noticed by an Indian filmmaker Kaizad Gustad, who gave her a break in 2003 in his bollywood movie "Boom". However the movie failed but tollywood and bollywood were struck by her beauty and her perfect hourglass figure. Her second film " Malleswari " {2004} starring Venkatesh and "Allari Pidugu" {2005} starring Balakrishna were both super duper hits in Tollywood. Her difficulty in speaking Hindi and other Indian languages didn't deter Katrina Kaif. She put in great efforts in learning Hindi in its perfect diction and also began to learn Kathak dance by practicing for seven hours a day. Katrina Kaif then slowly climbed her way up the ladder of success in bollywood doing two films a year until she hit it big in 2007 with a string of hits.

Bollywood's stunning beauty Katrina Kaif had a small role in Amitabh starrer "Sarkar" {2005} and then had a lead role in Salman Khan starrer "Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya" {2005}, which happens to be the remake of the 1969 Hollywood comedy film "Cactus Flower". Katrina appeared in "Hum Ko Deewana Kar Gaye" alongside Akshay Kumar and a Malayalam film alongside Mammootty in "Balram vs. Taradas" both in 2006.

It was in 2007; Katrina Kaif had a series of hits that catapulted her career to heights of glory in bollywood. Her amazing performances in movies like "Partner" opposite Salman Khan; "Apne" opposite the Deol family Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby; "Namastey London" and "Welcome" opposite Akshay Kumar have been well appreciated by critics and fans alike. Katrina Kaif has once again teamed up with Salman Khan in "Yuvvraaj" {2008}. Katrina Kaif, the hot bollywood actress has lined up four of her upcoming films slated for release later this year.
