Michael Hussey born as Michael Edward Killeen Hussey on May 27th, 1975 in Morley, Western Australia is an Australian left handed batsman. He is fondly called Mr. Cricket and Huss. Though he made his cricketing debut late at the age of 30, Michael Hussey saw to it that runs flow from his bat like a stream; for he knew that he has only a few years to go before his retirement.
On April 18th, 2006 Michael Hussey became the fastest batsman in terms of time to reach 1000 runs in just 166 days. He also stands behind the legendary Don Bradman in terms of Test averages. Michael Hussey amassed 86 runs per Test while Bradman stood at unreachable 99.94 per Test. His ODI average stands at an impressive 59. His terrific performance as a prolific run-getter for Australia made many cricket pundits across the world wonder why Michael Hussey wasn't given a Test cap for long.
Before bursting onto the international scene, Michael Hussey played first class cricket amassing nearly 17000 runs. Michael Hussey made his ODI debut against India at Perth on February 1st, 2004 and Test debut against West Indies at Brisbane on November 3rd, 2005.
