Sanjeev and Darshan Rathod were born to music director Shravan (who himself is paired with music director Nadeem). Sanjeev was trained under Pandit Kallika Prasad, while younger brother Darshan picked up several instruments on his own.They gor there first break from Mahendra Shah and Vimal Kumar but the film did not take off and father Shravan advised them to hold on, build up their stock and polish their skills further.

In 1998 they composed a Gujarati album for the Swaminarayan religious group. Later on Indra Kumar, who was present for their first recording called them and helped them to shape out some forty tunes. After wards he signed them for his Aamir Khan – Manisha Koirala starrer Mann in the year 1999. Film was a flop but their music got noticed with their tracks, ‘Mera mann kyon tumhein chaahe mera mann’ and ‘Kali Nagin Ke Jaisi’.

Sanjeev – Darshan want evolve music on their ownlike every other musician. They scored the music for Deewane and also Indra Kumar’s Aashiq ,Deepak Shivdasani’s Deewane, Parwane and a couple of other films.
